I will take screen shots of every memory setting w/ options today and post a gallery for you - It is likely easier than writing them all by had lol

The tRFC range looks a bit small to me, the highest setting of 200 might cause problems for guys using the latest 8GB high frequency DIMMs built with Hynix MFR. You might want to look into that!

I edited the post with double checked numbers from BIOS for accuracy. (See above)

I have this MB and its alot of fun.

Just over clocked my 3570k with it.

Quick and dirty 5GHZ 3dMarkl11 run with single HD7950 over P1100.

I?ve been playing with this board for 3days now.
coming from an amd platform it takes a while to understand all the new things on an intel board.
    cpu is a 3570K, ram is g.skill 8gb F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM.
I?ve seen something strange happening, when i change the multiplier of the cpu. when I set the multi to x42 and leave everything else on auto,
the vcore under load is 1.250v. and when I turn off turbo boost, it says the multi is still x34, but the clock is 3.8GHz with 1.25V vcore.
must be something fishy with the bios...
how do i get the cpu to clock down in idle mode, when i changed the multi? doesn?t this work at all?

Do you have realtemp open? Also please take screenshots of your bios settings in this configuration - of all the pages and options for me to look at, hope I can help you get it sorted.

    hi TheGoatEater,
the bios settings are pretty much all on auto, except the enabled xmp profile.
i?d love to have a working speedstep, when the system is oc?ed.
    here?s a 3dm11 run @4.5GHz

    http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5022196

the best i could squeeze out of my 3570K so far.
is 1.35v a little too much for 4.5GHz?

edit: cpu-z seems to not report the correct frequency when c1e and eist is enabled. it only does, when everything is on "auto". as soon as u change the multiplie,r cpu-z only reports the max frequency.
realtemp is showing the correct frequencies.
is that a bios bug, or a cpu-z bug?
i know that msi had some issues with cpu-z in the past, at least with the 790fx gd70 together with a hd5970.

I am very disappointed with this motherboard, is nearly impossible push memory with Samsung ICs, voltages are a nightmare... overvolt a lot....memory 0.1V , CPU 0.06, IO 0.05V, my 3770K on M5 gene is able to close spi32 with 1.39V on MPower require 1.455V

Has anyone gotten power saving features (e.g. lowing clock rate during idle)? I can't seem to get this to kick in during an OC with C1E and C-states enabled.

I believe you have to have cpu volts set to AUTO otherwise this doesn't work as this board doesn't support offset voltage - It's the only reason I'm looking at a different board - such a shame.

the board clocks down, if u have c1e and c-states enabled. cpu-z just doesn?t show it. use realtemp and u can see the cpu clocking down when idle. the voltage however will only be lowered if u have it on auto. a manually adjusted voltage will not change.
    i don?t know if it?s a cpu-z or a bios bug.

i?ve got a question concerning the cpu-vid shown in coretemp. is the vid given by the cpu, or is there a way to change it? is it only my 3570k that has a vid of 1.3v?
we really need an offset control in the bios...
come on msi, that can?t be hard to implement.

Wow, thanks for that catch... that's really strange (I was wondering why I wasn't getting errors when the CPU-z voltage reading was going down to ~0.8v). I don't understand why CPU-z will show the clocks ramping down when the clocks are at stock though.

    I have bought yesterday a Z77 Mpower mainboard. I use 17.6 bios.
I have an i5 3570k with good IMC.
I have tested on Maximus VF ormula my cpu and after that to Mpower , the problem is that I have 2 Hynix CFR kits Kingston Beast and Corsair Platinum Dominator and both are able to do 2666 mhz on Maximus.
On Z77 Mpower with every bios and every setting that I try (dram voltage, CPU I/O, SA Voltage, and timming configuration settings) I can't have more than 2400mhz on memory.
    Please help me

Can you post up all of your settings? From the memory timings to the voltages an anything else.
