Keep hitting that Update button ... are there any messages in the event log? Did you have a bunch of WUs expire on you ... if so and you are getting the generic "no tasks available" I think all you will need to do is return a few on time and you will start getting some more.

bluestang - post up when you get over those martinis from last night ... how many days do you have left to go and how many do you personally have cached?

    My 2600k has 2329 tasks at .58 hrs ea = 1350 hrs = 56 days
    My E7500 has 467 tasks at .45 hrs ea = 210 hrs = 8.75 days
    My E8500 has 66 tasks at .43 hrs ea = 28 hrs = 1.1 days
    My 5000+ has 390 tasks at .85 hrs ea = 331 hrs = 13.8 days
    My X2 250 has 300 tasks at .64 hrs ea = 192 hrs = 8 days

So thats 87 day on my rigs alone if they all meet the deadlines and none abort. So thats 364+87=451 with what's done and in cache on my rigs. That leaves 279 days minus the other machines running on my account and all the pendings. Ooooohhhh is going to be close, but I think everyone is going to make their goals.

Edit: I'm pulling more tasks on the E8500 now. Just have to keep hitting update. I'm at 5+ days on that now.

    hi,
its also possible for me to reach emerald without help (have ~80days cached). so either way is fine for me (finishing faster and help others or free 16 threads up now and not helping others)

Tell it it's a :banana::banana::banana::banana: and threaten it with replacement

I just dropped another 10 threads onto your account ... it's going to take a while but I'll build a cache as soon as possible.
    279 - 6 from Otis = 273
    273 - 50 from Snow Crash = 223
223 - 123 (estimated after the rest of my available caches build) = 100
100 days short ... does anyone else have available threads or is already crunching for bluestang?

    You missed my edit:
Edit: remote server - 3390 Tasks at 1.3 hours each = 4407 hours = 183 days. Again, this one won't finish in the allotted time. should get 120 days though.
We may JUST get there... Although I had to drop my queue a bit. It went into high priority mode and started flipping between WUs.

Although, if someone has just a few extra cores, it could make this a whole lot less of a nail-biter...

    Otis was right on.

I have 34 WUs on one host and 45 on the other running under GK.

edit: that's what I was going to say: I hit my 5 year goal so I aborted all other c4sw WUs running under my account.

    Further update from me:

The empty rigs now have 1600 wu's each approx (=26 core days each for Oj and Gk) so immediate panic over. Starting to get priority units with shorter completion times. I guess these are from folks that would not complete in time and returned units

Daily rig is holding at about 12 core days on Oj's account

The Mj rig is holding a bunch for Gk too and I need to free up some cores to make them complete on time

EDIT: and on Plan.B I changed my minimum work buffer and additional work buffer both to 7 days on the laptop. It is only 2 cores but it is now downloading more work

Oj: my calculation is that we are currently sitting on 150 core days for you and you need about 50. You will make it in 2 days or so... then we need to put these cores on with Origin

So Oj is covered for sure, and we're sitting pretty with GK. I think we're on track to get bluestang there by utilizing our collective cache ()

What's the status on U_O? I thought he was covered, but just want to make sure...

It's gonna be tight, but I think we might just pull this off for everyone...

What's the status on U_O? I thought he was covered, but just want to make sure...

It's gonna be tight, but I think we might just pull this off for everyone...
In view of the delay in moving over to Origin Unknown's account Oj and I may not quite have enough to offer. Any extra the you folks can offer would make it more likely we get him there too.

It would be nice if anyone has a quad or a laptop or two that could work for Plan.B too

This is all so Dependant on when the WU's dry up so the more that can get on to any of these right now the merrier.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe Maisi and welcome to the madhouse that is XS WCG Team

I'll stick with bluestang as I think he's going to need me for the duration anyway

I am sitting on 10 days for you here now. make sure you have your minimum work buffer and additional work buffer both to 7 days and see if you get more work. If we can fill your cache you will get there on you own if not maybe just a little help will do it.

I suggest that everyone that moved already stays where they are and that Oj and I go to O_U's account when we can.

Anyone else with spare capacity please post up here before attaching.

HAL9005 is all cached up ... I think if I push much higher it will start HP swapping.
HAL9008 still has a couple more days to cache ... this fk'r is thirsty

Once these caches get stuffed we'll be back to watching the grass grow as they crunch away .. I would like to ask that the people we are helping post their dailies just to keep interest up.

I could be wrong on this but ...
OldChap ... I see what you're doing ... 7 days min + 7 additional days ... I'm concerned your rigs will as the deadline is 10 days and your stuffing yourself with 14. I *think* WCG use to allot a 2 day grace period but I'm not sure they are doing that anymore.

<-- middle aged geek ... nic and avatar are SciFi, rig names are SciFi ... emo is SciFi ... sheesh
