how are we checking cache? ive got 9 days on one and 6 on another i think
Best estimate is to count wu's on a page on rig multiply by number of pages for total wu's multiply by runtime for 1 wu in minutes, divide by 60 for hours, divide by 24 for days.

Do this for each rig and ask each of your helpers to do the same.

EDIT I have maybe ~120 days already cached for haschi.

Can you do that as a helper? Check the number of WU's and pages?
I use BoincTasks to check my cruncher that are running in other accounts.

My cache for werdwerdus is 1821 work units. At an average runtime of 35 minutes, or 0.58 hours per work unit, and spread across eight cores, that comes to 331 work units per day (being eight days of work) or a total of 5.5 * 8 = 44 days work I can add to his account

Where I am running my rigs on other accounts I am running them using boincmanager. All that info is there. The account owner can look up how many tasks on any rig on their account but needs the info about how long a wu takes to run on each rig from the rig owner.

I cannot access any of this info as an outsider.

I have learnt a lot doing this and..... If there is a next time....... we can be a whole bunch more efficient doing this. We could have been finished for everyone by now (or at the very least be certain of doing so) if we had more info about cached wu's from the member being helped and runtime by the helper.

    EDIT: perfect info Oj. Thanks

So 1821*35/60/24=44 days that will be added to badge total.....divided by 8 cores = 5.5 realtime days to complete

You talked about WU's per page, so I thought that you maybe could check this that the WCG site. No problem. BoincTasks gives me all info of all my crunchers on my laptop.

Do we know what the next project is the will finish, and when? It is great to see how this team jump in to help each other. I'm in for the next one.

Nice. Now if we could get everybody being helped to do that and publish it daily next time then we could allow some folks to start sooner on other accounts.

Your need is for 163 days and you have 360 plus

retro77's systems are the only ones that show up at my account right now, so if he's got 70 days of cache that leaves 80 days of cache for me

Well, I just threw 12 more cores your way... but given the lack of work I'd say downclock a bit... or we need more cores.

How is WD looking? I added 32 cores to his account between the last two days. They got some work but not a full cache...

I think everyone else made it, it's just trying to get you two over the finish line in the last few days...

Edit: With that I'm completely off of everyone but WD and Martijn at 32 and 12 cores respectively, but Martijn's cores have NO CACHE. NONE.

Just about to try a little experiment with Haschoiz adjusting a profile to try and get my rigs started.

Set mine to 0.1 days cache and the new profile is hcc and water. ...hopefully once i burn through a couple of wu's of hcc it will consider this rig for water. whatever happens he will turn off hcc on that profile after an hour or two so we will have to wait and see.

Just want to get some of the cleanup of rejects and the like

EDIT just hit update and got a few HCC wu's on this rig Messed up the wcg address on the other one though so may have to wait for a new day there

2nd edit: Haschi: leave it like that till tomorrow ...won't do any harm. I'm back to my books now.... Exam tomorrow.

I have a question about switching from user to another. Do you abort all tasks first or simply remove the user account?

I *think* if you don't dump the tasks WCG still thinks they are being worked on and will not resend them until they timeout. Also, if you abort the WUs WCG will consider your rig 'unreliable' so you won't get any resend tasks (see Old Chaps post, he is trying to get back to 'reliable by working some regular HCC tasks, I also had to do the same when I joined bluestangs account with a rig that I had 'removed' the project (which aborts all tasks). On the second rig I did not 'remove' but did the change anyeay and immediately received tasks. All that being said, for this, and only this situation I would say switch woithout first doing a 'remove' or manual abort.
