    Gigabyte motherboard boot loop

I just bought this GA-X79S-UP5, it works great but I have one minor issue which is rather annoying. I have overclocked my i7 3930k to 4Ghz which is running fine but everytime when I turn my computer on it will do a single boot loop which is rather annoying. Is there a way to resolve this or is this a common Gigabyte motherboard issue when it comes to overclocking?

it just restarts and then boots? That is OC recovery checking the boot to make sure it can proceed to finish POST.

Yeah, it turns off for at least 2 seconds and turns back on itself, its rather annoying when it does that. So there is no fix for this?

@CD, try a different set of RAM.

I had the same issue initially with my KVR sticks but now, it is gone with my G.Skill Ripjaws Z 1866 quad channel kit. I have posted more detailed info over at ocn forums in response to your query there.
