Dear ShootStraight, BulldogPO, hipno650, wfo439, pirogue, and... Movieman.

I apologize to ShootStraight, BulldogPO, hipno650, wfo439, pirogue, and the rest of the 20's ranks for bumping their individual ranks. You are all unbelievable crunchers as is everyone else on team XS. Look: when I started crunching in SC week because of Movieman's banner ad, I had an impossible goal: To get as close as possible to Dave's overall points. I started with a single dual core... I'll cut the the chase now.

Dave aka Movieman is at 23,777,066.93 points which is good for slot #20. 5,010,546.87 points separate us now. With luck I can maintain 60,000 boinc ppd. Movieman is averaging about 9,500 bppd currently. 60,000-9,500=50,500. Divide that out and it comes to 99.2187 days until overtake.

This is a friendly service announcement Movieman, that at the current rate, I will claim your coveted #20 spot in 100 days. I feel bad about this. What are you going to do to keep your spot?

    My dear fellow cruncher,
In my life I've been challenged many times.
Now I realise that due to heat and costs I haven't been doing very much the past few months which allows people like you to have dreams of passing me but
    there's a reality: "It ain't gonna happen Cap'n"..
At least not in 100 days or in any timeframe even close to that..
30 days from now I'm out of this heat and into the cooler months of fall and then your dreams just blow away like dust!
BUT I should express my thanks for the warning. I do appreciate that..

Xactly! I have an expression that I've used often: Give me some notice and I can accomplish anything"
    This thread was exactly that..notice..
Oh, got a new 3770K and Intel DZ77RE-75K board today..I wonder what that will do? Maybe 50K/day???

Notice, yes a gentleman's notice! Talk is cheap! But we're down to 98 days lol

and the heat (which apparently my beagle doesn't like either because he went missing for 3 hours yesterday)... I know what you mean. We have window units in my home and lately it's been around 90 to 100F. My farm is in the barn - no AC or heat just let them burn baby burn!!!

You have a new 3370K????? Well fire that bad boy up and let's give everyone a show!

PS: love you Dave! I'm your biggest fan in Michigan, maybe besides Vince

Doh! Wish I'd thought of that - well I'm just trying to get some life back and TBH if my "encouragement" produces 1 more ppd then it's mission accomplished. MM has some weapons at his disposal I'm sure, we've seen him during SC week! So having a secret goal was not a lot of fun, I had to bring my WCG loving family in on it too.
