I'm feeling pretty good about having bought my kit for $360 just a week ago, and not for $500 yesterday.Originally Posted by stasio

However, thinking back to when the early 2x512MB DDR-400 kits of Samsung TCCD based stuff came out and were going for $225-$300 for 1GB, I must state that a 16GB DDR3-2666 kit for even $500 looks relatively cheap.

In memory of Gracie, my sweet, sweet wife and mother of my children. Darling, we will miss you dearly. May you rest in peace (born to this world on March 30, 1976; went to her Heavenly Father on Good Friday, April 22, 2011).

Got the time to open & flex my 2666 C10's kit tonight so here it is..... I think I could match the 9.12.12 2800 pi time @ 2858 10.12.12 if I tried. Sticks run real good & run spd timings 2666 overnight prime stable at 1.6v so I'm v happy. Lowest I can get 2800 10.12.12 to pass 32M is 1.675~1.68v depending on the pair of sticks & BIOS otherwise they need 1.685 with a slack BIOS or 1.75~1.77 to do super tight with a good BIOS.
2800 9.12.12 air 1.905V
2858 10.12.12 ambient air temp just a snip under 20oC 1.91v

I can't undestand how you got TRWSR and TRWDR to 4 stable 32M,you are the only person in this forum that managed that, and also the only one to run on a gigibyte board this type of memory,so this concludes that on gigabyte they work 4 and on other board 5,or somehow you got a gold imc, maybe someone can chime in with a explanation Great job nevertheless
Alex, ability to run (very) tight subtimings also varies from sample to sample on memory, not only MHz/volt ratio and tRCD/tRP walls.
I see...C-N memories must be very special then
I love my C10 2666, never giving it up.
Got 3140 validation with 2666 C10,guess i am now limited at 1.9,ambient was~10....Guess i need to throw some ln2 at my hynix to see limit of this imc...

So, let me see if I understand:
Are these: CMD16GX3M4A2666C11 Samsung IC's?
I'm almost buying them, but I need to know if they are worth of it
Cheers and congratulations for the awsome results!
Yeap,i suggest you grab a kit of 2666 C10 while you still find them, they are better binned than 2400 C9

So are the 2666 C10 sticks the only ones really worth hunting down? Or are the 2133 C9's worth looking for? (I spy some in F$ section...)
I'll need a new chip though, mine can't even run 2133 stable, worst IMC in history.

The 2133C9 sticks are pretty nice too, they need more volts than the 2666C10 but can reach nearly the same clocks.

Did you apply C-N tactics here with 2.1V ?
Yep, it was 2.0V with cpu cold. Trying to find sweet spot with subzero on these C10 sticks.
It gave lot of "55" and stuck @ loops 6~10ish if colder than -15C

I'm amazed they run C9 that high, these sticks just don't give up!
