Yep, very unusual for Corsair. I mean, their lower end kits cost a lot more than kits from other companies with the same ICs and same speed/timing/voltage ratings.

    You pay more for QC.

Corsair's been always my favorite memory brand since early 2000's.

Exactly.. I've bought their memory, and PSU's, never an issue with anything and another point, their people know what the heck they are talking about if you have questions.

    So do I have this correct...the 2666 C10s are ver 4.13 (Samsung HCH9) and the 2666 C11 are ver 5.12 (Hynix CFR)?

Well, they do stick a dollar sign on it, actually more like several $$.

They make good products, but at the same time, they aren't ashamed to tag a premium on them. I'm not posting this as a knock on them (I own a multitude of their hardware), just stating the obvious...and trying to having a little fun with your post.

Very true and agreed. I understand the price-premium is suppose to give you better RMA, etc, etc. But really? They charge like $150 for 4x4gb of 1600MHz? Lol. G.SKILL is great prized memory, and has been on par, or even out-done Corsair IMO. Memory is great, I called for three RMA's to date, everytime they do perfect.

I understand the premium, but some can take it too far, such as Apple.

Wow. Well I gotta admit then, that's better than they were a year or so ago.
