    Looking for EasyCap compatible software

This is driving me absolutely crazy!

I had my cheap EasyCap DC60 USB capture setup wonderfully on my old Windows install. I use it to capture VHS tapes to my HDD for burning to DVD/storage etc.

After reinstalling Windows I cannot for the life of me find what program I used (came with my EasyCap, don't have the CD anymore) and cannot find one that works the same way.

I have found plenty that work just fine, but NONE except the one I had before will stop recording automatically after the VHS tape is done and starts rewinding. My old program did.

Debut works fine, and I can set a cutoff length but I don't know how long each tape is and when I trim the extra length with Core VideoStudio 12 or Avidemux the audio loses sync for about half the video.

Can anyone suggest a program that can either a) automatically stop the capture when the tape ends or b) trim excess blank blue screen from an MP4 file and not mess up the audio sync?

    Ah the EasyCap DC60/DC61 .
I've got one, need to order a 2nd to see if I can get both working at once on the same pc.

    Do you need a driver?

I use direct show, and virtual dub to do all my capture work.
And there's avisynth too for post processing.
Those are the only progs I use.
I don't really use any of those fancy ones, not enough control for me.
Though the way I go about it it's not an easy peasy thing.

I do recommend trying out virtual dub, that might be the only prog you need to get by.

Oh yeah, don't use mkv or mp4 containers until you finished.
Work with it in avi format, vdub cannot use mp4/mkv's.
After your done with the cutting and compression, then redo the container to a mp4 outside of vdub.

I don't think I have the cd that came with it anymore, I'm not sure.
I'll look for it though for you later on tonight, I'll give you a heads up by the morning if I find it.
Today and tomarrow is gonna be kinda hectic for me.

    Very nice, thank you!

I'll try VirtualDub again I think, maybe AVISynth too since I haven't tried that one. Thanks!
