    please give your opinion

this pc in sig is driving me nuts to the point im about to give up this hobby after 10 years and just buy a dell and call it a day. i recently bought everything in sig over the past year except the 1 tb hard drive. last system had this same problem and was the biggest reason i upgraded to this one. this system has ran flawless for months until the other day the same problem came back. pretty much while im on the pc either doing something or its just sitting it will shut off then reboot. when it reboots the ssd doesnt get picked up so it trys to boot off the 1tb storage drive. sometimes the ssd doesnt exist at all in bios and sometimes the setting just gets changed to boot off the 1tb. i have plugged the hard drives in every sata port on the board and it still does it. nothing i do seems to stop this. i thought this mb memory cpu video card and ssd upgrade worked but it only lasted a few months and im already ready to set the thing on fire. temps are a little high to me 51c but thats ivy for you and i do need a better rad. last system temps were a lot lower and still same thing. is there anyway a virus or spyware could do this? also it the pc restarts and sits at the no os found screen the pc will over heat to the point it burns to touch anything in it. if i restart and go into bios it kools off no problem. all this happens mostly when im not even using the pc. for months ive been gaming and pushing the hardware without a single problem. any ideas? ill try anything im sure its something simple and any input would be a great help.

Did you reuse your old SATA cable? It may be the culprit.

are you on the latest firmware for your ssd, there was a bsod problem with the original m4 firmware. and did you try turning the ram down, using different sata cables, and running occt.

Crucial M4 must be the problem here if he havent updated the firmware, that drive was buggy as hell with older firmware's.

thanks alot guys its fixed. it was the firmware. i remember updating it but i never checked to see if it worked. the windows installer for the firmware just doesnt work. i tried 3 times today and it says it worked but when you check the firmware its still the old one. i did the manual install from a bootable usb and it worked. i think its 1000 or something like that hours ran on the old firmware will make this happen. that explains why the system was perfect till just a few days ago.
