card is actually wired for 24 drives, but this one's only the 12 drive model

So how to connect it? if the card is wired for 24 hdd but it really is have only 12 , because is 12 hdd model

I don't have my manual with me, but I believe the HDD headers are actually sideways (pairs of two). The one grey wire you have hooked up is basically connecting the positive (or negative?) pins of 4 different sets of headers.

What you'd have to do is bust out a needle, and rewire the connection block you got with your HDD cage to change the wire arrangement to be in the sets of two. As you have your pins circled, it would be 1 top and 1 bottom pin to each set. When you group them like that, you notice you now have headers for 24 HDDs
