Most likely CFR, not BFR. Basing that on the timings of CL11 and lower voltage of 1.6. Most Hynix BFR spec'ed for 2133 was CL9 and at 1.65V.

Today's shellshocker at 1PM Pacific Time is the Kingston equivalent of this ram, which will be on sale just a little cheaper at $45. Same clocks, timings and voltages, most likely same CFR IC.

Probably a toss up between those two, although I seem to have better luck with GSkills.

For the GSkill you have to do a little subtraction from that $56...

    $8 off w/ promo code EMCNBNC47, end 8/13
For the KHX you have to let the clock tick to 1PM Pacific time, or 5PM East Coast (for you and me).

would you guys take the kingston or the gskill that i linked then. and any other suggestions around $50 lower is better. or what about the $60 cas10 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...deId=1&name=10 . and what is the clock difference from cfr and bfr.

and i do want hynx right, it sounds odd to me that they make something good.

Well binned BFR is what is in the good clocking Trident X 2600 C10, CFR is probably going to max out around 2200-2400.

As to which one of those two C11 products would be best, I can't really tell you. I tried to find some reviews, but struck out, then again, I only spent a few minutes. I tend to think that GSkills is a tad more OC friendly as a rule, but that's just my personal opinion therefore if I was choosing between those two I would probably go with the Snipers.

Grab 'em and let know how they do for you. Also, take a peek at the sides of the ICs and based on the info in this thread, see if you can identify/confirm the ICs to be CFR.

From my perspective, it is a bit of a toss up between well binned Hynix BFR and Samsung HCH9, with CFR behind both of them.

Others might have a different opinion. For example Dumo seems to be able to take generic $20-a-stick Samsung and have it perform like top-tier stuff...go figure.

i got the kingston kit today, it is cfr

    it looks just like

they do have awesome heatspreads that are similar to cell shock weight and lock in so they do not separate and have good pressure. much better than the gskill or any others that i have run across from a normal ram company (basically anything other than cell shock and diablo sticks.)

i put them into my current am3 system to make sure that they worked, and this is the spd on both sticks

    broken spd.png

this is ether the fastest 8GB 2 stick kit that you can get (maybe fastest ever) or kingston is incompetent

That's typical of Kingston... And I might add, this is not the fastest XMP I've ever seen...
