    Radiator 420 with fans spacer of 20mm

    Hello,

    I am looking for a radiator 420 (3x140) with a "fans spacer" of 20mm, the only one that'll be good, will the HW SR1 but it have 153mm of width.
    There is no rad as SR1 but with a width of approximately 145mm (with good performance at low rpm)?

    thanks for the links, I saw these two rads

    I think I'll take a 280, and I would take a 420 if EkWaterblock, XSPC, etc. ... make a rad with 20mm (fan spacer)

    I made a thread about this a little while back. It drives you nuts doesn't in it! I can't get over how swiftech and xspc realised there 140mm rads recently and they both had 15 mm spacing despite the fact there is a forum post like this every week saying where are the 20mm spaced radiators.

    If most of the Rad maunfacturers are using 15mm spacing for their 120mm and 140mm rads it seems that the case manufactures should catch up. Especially manufacturers that use 20mm on the case top and 15mm on the bottom for 140mm purposes.

    Or as an NZXT rep recently suggested using slots instead of fixed spaced screw holes.

    20mm spacing seems like the smart standard to choose. Really is a shame the radiator manufacturers never noticed how pretty much all cases use this spacing.

    Sorry Lowfat I don't understand what you are trying to say. 120mm fan holes are on one plane and 140mm fan holes on another as they are wider.

    My NZXT 810 has 15mm spacing on the bottom of the case for both 120mm and 140mm fans and the 240mm rad fits perfect. A 15mm spacing 280mm rad should fit fine too with the barb holes facing the rear of the case.

    The outside fan holes for the 140mm fans are spaced further apart as they are longer than the 120mm fans and the inside holes, where the fans meet, are separated by 5mm as the 140mm fans are also wider.

    This is how the case is setup on the bottom with the inside set of holes for 120mm fans. This would not matter for the top of the case as the plane for the fan holes are different for 120 and 140mm. And as you keep adding fans the holes where the fans meet would get further apart.

    What is needed is that the radiator manufacturer (XSPC, EKWaterblock, Magicool, etc.) also provides radiator with "fan spacer" to 20mm for 280/420

    I totally didn't think through what I said it seems. Ignore what I said.

    I was unaware that the 810 used two different spaces. I've only dealt w/ Lian Li personally so far and AFAIK they use 20mm spacing for all of their 140mm fan slots.

    There is no new (good) rad 280/420 with a "fan spacer" of 20mm other than the HW Labs SR1 (to put in the top of Lian Li A77F)?
