Trying to dye some cables and connectors. Ended up being the wrong ratio it seems as some of the connectors turned out blue. But all the wires tured out black.

    and a few more pics.

Damn coolant is hard to photograph. This has just a very slight increase in exposure and it starts to look more pastel and less dark. :o

It is acrylic tubing. The bends are done by heating the tubing.

They're rigid acrylic tubes, not common ones...PrimoChill went out with a new product in this category, maybe there are others too.

Purchased a 4770K to see if it clocks better than my 4670K. Before I ever powered it on I delidded it. Then lapped the IHS to a mirror finish. Pulled apart my EK CPU waterblock to clean it while I had it out. And to my surprise I noticed that the nickel plating had started to wear off underneath the o-ring.

    Will do.

Just took 11ty new pics. Ditched the pastel coolant for the good ol' transparent stuff. Started to get a little overboard w/ macroing.

    OK done.

do i spy mdpc screws? i cant quite tell as mine look differant due to those little washer things.. (dont want to scratch up the powdercoat)

it would make me all warm and fuzzy inside to see that someone other than me replaced their a77 screws with mdpc ones!

    EDIT: yep, indeed they are

Every screw and every rivet in all my cases are MDPC-X. At least the ones that can be. Well the rivets aren't in this yet as it isn't powdercoated yet. But it will be for the finished product.

its such a nice feeling getting it all replaced, in personal experiance

when I got mine back from the powdercoater i couldnt even wait, I almost had the rivet gun in my hand when I picked it up, tore mine down fully, every rivet every screw removed then put it all back together with mdpc! make sure to use the washers! i todally stripped the coat off when test fitting things up.. makes me so sad knowing its all bare metal under those screws, dispite not being able to see it

There is a big difference between a black case w/ silver hardware and a black case w/ all black hardware. And I definitely use brainwashers on everything. Unfortunately they don't sell them for M4 screws, but I use them everywhere else. Starting to run dangerously low on the m3 washers (and screws). Going to have to make an order here in the near future.
    My black hardware storage.

Then my crimping and silver storage.

He has M3 and UNC 6-32 brain washers. The 6-32 ones are just slightly too small for the M4 screw heads.

ProGripped the backside of my sound card. I didn't like how all the silver solder points showed.

A few pics of the Revodrive post Plasti-Dip.

    Thanks.

    Got a new GPU.

Bios modded it withing minutes of owning it. Then went to modifying my existing GTX780 block. With a bit of work I was able to install the block.

Time for something new. Decided to do a inverted-ATX build.

Totally going to n00b my way through this.

Maybe I'll cut myself a new motherboard tray while I am at it.

    Cutting w/ the nibbler.

    Test fit.

Getting better at the inside angles.

I agree, you have to see it complete, or even at a bit more progressed state.

Received a couple of DIYINHK PWM PCBs on Friday so I went to replacing the PCBs on some dead pump.

    The new PWM PCB

The older style Toshiba-powered DIYINHK PCB

    A stock DDC3.1-PWM PCB. Dead.

With the PCB removed. Also one pump w/ the casing removed.

    Soldered on some extensions.

    Finished.

As for my impressions? The PWM boards suck. They are less powerful at full speed. Noisier when slowed down. PWM range is horrible. The pump actually shuts off if you slow PWM down to 0%. If you set it to 100% it does nothing. You can't set it above 71% or it doesn't work.

I also did the modification to a DDC-1T. It is even worse. If you set it below 100% it just physically jumps around on the desk.
