    Fans and radiator (WC)

    Hello

I see that many people have Scythe Gentle Typhoon on their radiators (WC), but with low rpm (less than 1000rpm), the Scythe S-Flex are better than the GT (more perf and quieter), I believe
For a radiator, thick and low density (TFC Xchanger), the S-Flex will be better than GT?

    Thanks

BTW, what do you think of trying out new swiftech's fans? Those have similar blades to GT, but sleeve/hydrodinamic bearings (thus potentially quieter at lowest rpms). Haven't seen yet comparative tests with them though. I'm guessing that GT might win in 1000-1800 range though. But it too is groundless guess/speculation.

No, I do not know these fans, tests are available or not yet?

The NB MultiFrame are very good (quiet and efficient) but not adapted for rad, I believe

Personally, I'd go with AP-13's if you never plan to go faster than 1150 RPM and run them @ full speed but, AP-14 and AP-15's are the ones chosen the most.

Also, S-flex's seem to be getting hard to come by as they have been discontinued.

    Thank you very much ,
The Gentle Typhoon are better if I understood. I think taking AP13, to turn ~800rpm, this is the most efficient and quieter for a rad Xchanger, (always if I understood correctly) right?

The Scythe Kama Flow 2 are good or not (not seen in the test)

    Thank so much

PC Look claims to still have some AP-12 which run @800 RPM if you want to give them a try. I've thought about it but, it's too big a hassle to import them from a etailer in France I know nothing about to USA.

Thank you very much for your proposal

There AP13 available and cheaper here

For you, AP12 and AP13 are the same (point of view performance and silence)?
I will use a Fan Controller to have the AP13 to ~ 800rpm

    Thanks for your help

Sadly, I don't have any AP-12's and haven't seen any kind of review on them so, I don't know much about them. They disappeared from the U.S. market pretty quickly and by time I figured out I wanted to give a pair a try, they were long gone.

I do have 10 AP-13's though and was prepared to use a pair on my current build but didn't quite have the room I needed to use them on a pair of MCR140's so I swapped for a pair of 140mm Bitfenix fans. They're not terrible but they are also not GT's. I'll sure I'll eventually use all my AP-13's somewhere, just a matter of how, where and when.

Ok thank you for your help, I will use the GT AP-13 I think

The NB PK2 is good with a radiator 140 (quiet and efficient) or What fan 140 (used horizontally)

    Thanks so much

I personally use delta pwm 3500 rpm fans on my black ice gtx Gen 2 rads. I chose these because I am able to bench with the best possible cooling but am also able to drop those suckers to about 800 rpms before they start to pucker out. Its nice to not have to buy a fan controller to control speeds. I will always go pwm from this point on.
