Prmetia Mach I or Mach II?

Hey guyz what is your opinion on this. Does the price difference of a coupld hundred dollars justify getting thePrometia Mach II over the Mach I. I would like to save some money if it isnt that big of a deal in performance. What is the real difference here? Can anyone who has tested both of these please tell what I should do before I purchase one of these? Please give me your pro's and con's of each. Thanks alot and enjoy Overclocking!!

Well thanks to this forum I got more info on this so far. Especially on the 405/507 modding. The Mach I is a good unit as I can see now. But my question is more the fact of weither it really is worth paying a couple hundred dollars more for a Mach II and why?

Marci is correct....common question answered many times...short version:

MachI will not hold reset on some motherboards and need a second PSU to run them

MachI has weaker evap hose that may break with rough handling

MachII gets about 10c colder temps

MachII has nice windows control panel

MachII works with all motherboards..holds reset

There are other small differences, but those are the big ones...only you can decide if the differences are worth it. I didn't think they would be until I got the MachII...now think they are...personal choice.

Addition - Further MkII benefits - Digital FanBus means more precise control over fan speeds / noise. Hose is much more userfriendly and flexible. Supports 20x2 dotmatrix LCD Displays. No more bare live connections within the unit to blow yerself up on.

Side note... Dude... u remember the thread from eons ago on this very topic, where I went thru and highlighted the pros n cons etc of MkI vs MkII...? the one where I was saying that they'd perfected a few annoying features of the MkI n' suchlike... I've gone back as far as I can thru the boards today manually and thru search and can't find it anywhere... as I think that thread had the most opinions in on the topic... ( ? )

    Marci,

Yeah, I remember that thread....good one. I wonder if it got corrupted or something? I can't locate it either.
My MachII review also has differences listed.
