Heatkiller 3.0 orientation on LGA2011
I'm WC'ing my 3930k with a heatkiller 3.0 CU. Temps are awful, 73c peak load w/prime95 at 4.6 and 1.33v. Contact seems good, using MX4. I'm thinking the the orientation could be an issue, and I wonder if changing the orientation would help. This is a fair bit of work in my loop, so I'm looking for an answer here before using the "trial and error" method. Atm the barbs are in parallell with the socket levers.
There's another issue... I did clean the block once, and put it back together. As it's square it's possible to have two internal orientations as well. I assume the one in the picture below is the correct one? (the other option would be to have the steel plate in the middle parallell to the base channels, if you understand what i'm trying to say).
