    Need help with dos/cmd.exe!!!

I screwed up a device install and I cant load in safemode. Startup repair and sys restore dont work either.

I can get into cmd.exe by booting from the Vista Disk but I dont know how to uninstall the device.

How do I uninstall devices (ie video card in this case) from cmd.exe?

I think you're talking about the cmd console not dos...
You can't use regedit or anything in that.
The only chance to fix it remotely I think is winpe.
Otherwise grab your files off it, and install a fresh copy of windows, or whatever you're gonna do .

make yourself a quick UBCD4Win and boot that and then you can access the registry of your installed windows. You can then remove any entries along with any files on the drive that could be causing the failure. Its what I have had to do in the past when PCs have gone wrong.

You are better off backing up your data and re-installing windows am afraid... is really the easiest and quickest way of restoring windows, if system restore doesn't work...
