    Thanks owi

8pin from my ax1200 is for cpu and it divided in 2 4+4 so its useless

Only left is my pcie power connectors from psu that are 8 and 6 pins is that i have to use ?

PCIe plug on mid-board is for PCIe 3.3V. there is VRM on board specifically for this, and the voltage can be adjusted under "VGA Tweaker's Paradise" screen. You do NOT need 8+4 pin CPU plug, I can run my 4.6 GHz and 2666 MHz mem with just 4-pin, even.

and yes, use normal PCI power plug there. floppy power plug is for rear I/O power.

Thanks mate i dont understand ur last line rear I/O power ? I just want to know if i can plug a normal PCIe 6 pin from PSU on the EZ PLUG located above the first red sli slot to help pcie power for 3 way SLI

    Yes normal PCIe plug.

And as I said, you can adjust the voltage in BIOS, the plug is specifically for 3.3 V on PCIe. It (3.3V) is very important in multiGPU, although you will not find mention of that often. I even use this plug with one card.

just north of that plug is also a floppy power plug. right next to PCIe EZ plug. White. It's for rear I/O. you probably will not need it.

Yeah, you might need to give a bit more when pushing clocks.

Without PCIe plug, 3.3 comes from 24-pin, and maybe other stuff uses it. Using PCIe plug gives dedicated VRM for 3.3V to PCIe. That's all that crap on the board's surface, the chokes and MOSFETS, between the upper two slots.

Anyway, it improves how the cards run under high clocks, not really increasing clocking ability. you can literally get more points with the same clocks with a properly sourced 3.3V line. I cannot tell you exactly where to end up, I am not running the same cards as you are, and I think each card and config will behave a bit differently here.

Yes i understand what u mean i know how power affects the benches
I will plug a PCIE power connector there direct from PSU and tell u how it goes

Can u show me a screen of turbo evo and timmings for ur 2666 mem ? Its incredible on the formula both of my kits where rock sokid i have 2 kits 2666cl10 and 2800cl11 none is rock solid on the extreme lol

MVE is not as "user friendly" with ram like other Z77 ROG, IMHO. In order to have it ready for real benching, especially with BIOS used, has slightly different focus than 24/7 like the other boards are for. IMHO.

what ram? I got a few reviews up on our site already, although I don't include BIOS screenshots, Memtweakit is there and you should be able to take timings from there. Usually the thing is Tertiary timings causing the problems, you got that one setting in BIOS 1-14 to take care of that, try 5-6 for Hynix, 7-9 for Samsung and then tweak from there. G.Skill 266C11 is up now, but 2666C10 dom plats I reviewed with MVF board...same timings apply though.

i got a Gskill TX kit 2666 CL10-11-11-25 1.65 and i load samsung medium profile and fails memtest...with 1,7volts passes 138% memtest...on the Formula i have this super tightened and passes 500% this mem is samsung

i got a Gskill TX kit 2800 CL11-13-13-35 1,65 smooth as butter and here i got mem errors at 4%---this last time i got mad and take it out

    third timmings are on AUTO

please show me your memtweak it and i start with my samsung kit

here is my actual settings using bios 0022

Maybe you can just read this page here, and this will help, IN my experience, it's tertiary timings that are the issue most often when running 2666 MHz+, so I wrote a little bit here about how to adjust them all easily. If it was Shamino that made this in BIOS, he's ing awesome for having the foresight to do this.:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/G...-16GTXD/8.html

I have my CPU in the MSI Z77X-GD65 Gaming right now, have to finish testing for the review, and then I can pop the chip back in my MVE and post some real screenies for you. I kind of get in the impression you aren't looking for standard stuff ,you want something faster than average.

Yeah, I don't install that softwares, I just use BIOS.

I tend to use 4 sticks, by your timings I think you are using two.

Try using timings listed in SPD tool. Give Latency Boundry 7-9 a try as well. My CPU is not capable for 2800, but I can bench 2D with it all day with L.B. 8 with Samsungs and four sticks. I haven't had the time to bin the best two sticks of all the sets I got and see if I can push further.

Seems you have a short somewhere I would think - maybe board not mounted correctly or case flexing????
