4k write speed differences on sata3 vs sata2

I just got a 128gb samsung 830 SSD, but the motherboard only has sata2. I know sata3 advantage is an increase in max transfer rate, which I don't really care about. However, will the 4k read/write speeds be affected from using an older sata2 motherboard? Or should I upgrade to a mobo with sata3?
