    Recommendations?

Hello all, I'm in the market for a new laptop for school. Its my first laptop & I wanted to get something that'd last for the next 4-5 years within my budget ($700-$800).

I picked these four off of newegg, just judging from their CPU & GPU:

Never dealt with Acer before but they seem to have the best one for the price. Does anyone have any experience with these or something similar? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

I've had an Acer for about 3 yrs and it has performed perfectly. Regardless of brand, if you can, try to get one with an SSD rather than an HDD, well worth the extra bucks. Even get a slower CPU if necessary to get an SSD.

Agree with above. Get an SSD and if you need more storage just get a external drive.

That said I typically buy Lenovo just because I have never had issues with their stuff. Currenly have a Y570 w/ i7, 6gb ram, 550 gpu, and put an ssd in. Battery lasts long enough for me with the gpu turned off. Works great and easy to travel with since I travel a lot for work.

Thanks for the sugestions, I think I've settled on this one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834215410

Dual HDD bays so I can throw an SSD in, with the latest i7 and a GT650M.
