    Interested in an Asus Z9pe-d8 WS waterblock?

    Hi Guys,


    I'm trying to commission nateman_doo to build a waterblock for The Asus z9pe-D8 WS waterblock. Rather than how him do only one block I was wondering how many other people would be interested in having a waterblock for the motherboard. The price might be a little high like around $200 (maybe a less) to cover the cost of materials and give a little something for Nateman_doo's time. I've looking to setup a group buy like what has been done over at the evga forums when it came to the SR-2.

    If EK/Koolance does not make waterblock for Asus Z9PE-D8 WS, I will join group buy (chipset+MOSFETs: $200 is good).

    Outside the box

    Just looking at that board that is jam packed with goodness...
    It won't be easy, but would options like... never doing QUAD sli, or the fittings hanging off the board be an option, or the inlets would have to be VERY close to the CPU. Almost touching the socket of the right CPU

    How can we have Asus Z9PE-D8 WS 3D Mechanical CAD drawing? With Solidworks: the mosfet blocks is OK and chipset block is OK too if I have 3D drawing of this MB.

    interesting what is under radiator below right-hand CPU socket? if it's just to increase surface of PCH rad than maybe we can forget about it at all? 7w chip with Tmax over 100*C doesn't need LC solution IMHO. or we can slap copper pin radiator on it...

    Might be interested but first need to give my Z9PE-D8 a run on air after i fix broken off cpu standoff lodged in cpu screw mount on the board heh.

    Can anyone recommend a 19" Rack Mount case for this board (Asus Z9PE-D8 WS)?

    Been looking at: HEC 380 W 19 Inch Rackmount 4U Server Case but not 100% sure on compatibility. Anyone with experience of this board know if it'll fit OK?

    made a quick run through review - on thermal shot under load pch radiator _colder_ than nearby pcb... i can't see any point to LC PCH...

    Two separate VRM/MOSFET is OK but PCH/SB water block is failed. I don't like it (the PCH/SB water block) because it is hard to route the tube in/out.
    Plan your tubing routing in advance as SB block’s ports may obstruct or collide VGA cards! The use of EK-FC Backplates might be impossible. The southbridge (PCH) water block is designed to obstruct (sacrifice) one PCI-express x8 expansion slot yet the use of of EK-FC Backplate might be impossible in the PCI-e slot #5 (see STEP 1). If all PCIe slots are in use it is mandatory to reinstall the factory provided PCH/SB heat sink.

    Martin: Unfortunately there was no other way around, if we would bring PCH block's ports right beneath the CPU socket it would have practically zero space for 180° turn (when connecting directly from CPU block).
