    What sound card to buy?

    I'm looking for some suggestions for a decent sound card.

    The system is used primarily for gaming (BF3) and music.

    Speakers are Logitech Z-5500's 5.1

    I've got PCI-E x8 slots and a PCI-E x1 slot available for use.

    i think a xonar dgx would handle them just fine.

    x-fi titanium HD

    connected to a logitech 5.1 via toslink cable

    plus a great pair of hearphones like a Denon AH-D1100/AH-D2000 connected to a dedicated hearphones output

    personally I think the Xonars are best by far. but you can get 1fps more with an XFI
