1gb 6850 cf 1+1=2 gb?

hi,

a friend using 1gb 6850 and max payne 3 graphics limit is 1024


i'm using 1gb 6850 crossfire and my graphics limit is 2048





playing just fine in this settings.people says crossfire 1+1=1 gb but how this could happen?


and this is gta4 liberty city



is this crossfire application profile(12.6) trick?

cf settings 1930/2048

disable cf single card same settings 930/1024

cards using 2gb ram but acting like 1gb card.

1gb card + 1gb card = 1gb vid mem in crossfire. You will only have as much Vram as is on a single card. Although CCC will alocate system ram also.....

look at the first picture.these very high settings using 930 mb ram in 1gb card but 1930 mb in crossfire.1+1=1 in this game.if i have 2gb card i can apply 8xaa so extra 1gb is no effective in this game

but in the liberty city's very high settings 1200/2000 in cf but not 600/1000 in single card.this is crossfire disabled and i can't apply very high settings.



you can compare with cf picture and this.

all my friends says it's gta4's problem somehow so nevermind.1+1 cf cards using 2gb ram but 1gb actual.950 mb for one card 1900 mb for two card same settings.
