    680 Lightning controller(s)

trying to ID the part number of the Internation Rectifier pwm controller chip on this card, but Im having a hard time making it out. From my limited experience, ive always seen the controller on the back of cards, not the front, but i dont see any chips on the back. so im assuming this is the main power controller IC. I think the chip reads:

    CHiL
    CHL8218
    --------
    --------

but i cant find a chip with that P/N (CHL8218). anyone else have an idea?

no need for mods, msi has afterburner that lets you push voltages easily.

yeah i know, but as part of learning circuitry and doing some modding and stuff i like to ID the controllers and at least read up on the datasheets and stuff just for fun/more general knowledge.. especially when it comes to extreme cards like this i like to compare the circuitry of them to the reference cards and see exactly how they differ..
That being said, its still unclear how high afterburner will let the voltage go when using the LN2/OC bios. If it only allows for say 1.3 or something along those lines, it may be nice to try and feed it a few hundred more millivolts

lol, too true. Any ETA on an AB extreme for the 680? Or would that question be better directed to elmor?
