False,2660 CL10 is total beast,2600 9-11-11,2400 8-10-10 is totally doable for 32M.2800 9-12-12 as well,but you need good imc.2666 CL11 is hynix,high latency.

You have ivy bridge to test with?They should perform well,i guess they are little lower binned that 2666C10

Yep...3570K with crappy IMC which can't do 2800 multiplier also under LN2 (only 2666 on air/LN2) and 3770K ES but I have to test it because I don't know how good IMC it has...and will be testing on UP7 or MPower..will see which will be better

I didn't have much time today...tried ES 3770K how good IMC it has aaand it's bad maybe a little worse than in my 3570K...max boot about 2680 MHz and maximum overclocking about 2700 MHz and not stable...will try with 3570K...I tested especially 2400 CL9 kit and it can do 2666 CL11 1T with 1,65 V SPI 16M stable...didn't tried SPI 32M or something like HCI MemTest because I didn't have time for that...before results some photos

It sounds like he just didn't have time to do much testing. Assuming the Dominator Platinum 2400C9 are the same bin as the Vengeance 2400C9, they won't do 2666 C10 with 1.65v stably, more like 1.75v.

Like Shiranui wrote I didn't have time to do much testing. I tried it in the evening and found that 3570K isn't able to run 2666 multiplier on UP7 and don't know why. On UD5H 2666 multiplier works fine with the same 3570K. And MPower behaves a little weird. I will try different settings on UP7. I am also awaiting Maximus V Extreme so I will able to try it on that later.

He only used 1.65Vdimm and maybe he get's IMC limited. Or maybe he doesn't want to loosen timings... Anyway anything above 2800 is totally inefficient as tertiary timings are too loose. There's more to life then max MHz... someone told in another thread to wait till next generation and be prepped to be blown away :p

Seems his sticks are on par with mine... 2800C10-12-12 does not pas HCI memtest 200% but is benchstable... one is looking for daily stab, the other just wants to bench...

Corsair doesn't have to warrant extreme overclocks either, it can be that your cheap 2400C9 kit contains the same ICs as these 2666C10 kits. If you want OC performance, rumour is that Corsair is prepping a new GTX monstaaa...
