Fine with me. I don't want their Origin-crap anyways. The value of a game decreases with the time it has been released. You can whine about it being intellectual property (teh lolz), but this won't change the fact that people won't pay top dollar for a year old game.
Notice any grammar or spelling mistakes? Feel free to correct me! Thanks
hahaha i see b*tthurt EA![]()

so pricing your software that is outdated and will most likely not get any sales since there are no ads or word of mouth is a bad thing. now we know why EA never lowers prices and tried to force people to buy multiple products with securom and not refunding keys into your pool, and why they love dlc so much. though you would think that they would sell things cheaper since they have so much over priced dlc and you need the game to get it.

Guy is an idiot. Steam sales are the only tool they have against piracy. Make them go, but then don't cry sales plunged.
My only feeling towards Origin that it is a Steam KANG now preventing me from buying those few good games EA has on Steam sales.

The car engineers work incredibly hard to increase performance/fuel consumption ratio too. That doesn't mean that the old civic which had been inthe gamemakers work incredibly hard to make this intellectual property.
stock for ages should cost same like brand new one released this year. They won't discount it by 75%, but his logic is broken either way![]()

If the future of Origin depends on this guy, it´s f****d.
There are very few games that I am excited about enough to buy at full price. Probably three quarters or more of my collection is somethat that I picked up on a steam sale that looked interesting for $5-$15 but no way in hell would I have bought it for $50+

Not one question about how come they haven't addressed the most common complaint, the inability to turn off that annoying EA Games add popup every time it loads, even when it loads with windows.
We know the answer, but would of been nice to see their reaction to it on record. Without sales there really is no benefit to consumers seeing them at all, Its just freekin annoying. Your not going to get to the number 1 spot by being freekin annoying.

Origin to me is a step in the Battlefield 3 launch process, and that is it. I do not look at it for buying games.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Random Tip o' the Whatever
You just can't win. If your product offers feature A instead of B, people will moan how A is stupid and it didn't offer B. If your product offers B instead of A, they'll likewise complain and rant about how anyone's retarded cousin could figure out A is what the market wants.
I think Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 and Command & Conquer 4 damaged themselves just fine, maybe that's why they are all so cheap in retail.
Origin? I simply chose to not buy any recent EA Game (and no, I didn't pirate any either) and I'm free of not only Origin, but also free to throw my money at Valve in Steam Sales for Games I would not otherwise buy.
Good luck with your business model EA, but my money won't be part of it.

I never ended up getting BF3, so I still have no real need for Origin.
Look for physical copies of the game, like on Amazon. Mass Effect 3 should be around half price but Dragon Age 2 is closer to 80% off. I saw it for under £5 new on Amazon.co.uk
Thanks. But then I have some shipping charges so it usually winds up more than $15 I usually spend on sales. Furthermore I prefer digital distribution since I consider retail packages cluttering my life space. Past month I bought voucher for batman on ebay which I activated on Steam then. That is an acceptable solution.

I thought the "we go to the forums and get insight" sort of comment was a ragdoll of lol'ing.
No way in hell they do any of that and then follow it up with the "intellectual property means we sell you a $60 game with serious issues, charge for cheap DLC later, and never ever EVER put it on sale".
Its hard to say it. But this guy makes Blizzard look like the good guy even after all this D3 issues.
