Its becoming an epidemic. These copyright troll lawyers are threatening to sue everyone from grandmothers to the blind.

The companies make a log of IPs from a bittorrent client, usually a porno, and they subpoena the ISPs to hand over the infos. Once these scum bags get a hold of your info, they harass you and try to extort $3500-$5000 USDs for. They threaten to sue but almost never due. Instead they intend to embarrass the John Does to fork over the money. Fortunately, some are fighting back.

^^ It'd be funny if they sent one of these letter to someone who has enough dough to blow $200k on lawyer expenses...I reckon the answer would be something like this.

"Dead Mr. I have seen that you have sent me a very distasteful letter, It has been forwarded to my team of lawyers who will make sure you will be living on food coupons for the rest of your life as I can assure you you wont have enough money to sustain anything more than a sub-par lifestyle"

I don't know about the US, but in Australia the winning party is awarded remuneration of legal fees incurred...
