Re: Mouse pads / gaming surfaces / etc...

For the past 10 or so years I've been using a Func Surface 1030 mouse pad, but its fine textured surface has become quite worn and I need a replacement.

What mouse pads do most of you guys use if any? I have nothing but great things to say about Func products and would definitely buy another one, but if there is some other product out there that is far superior... i'll keep my options open.

The size of my Func pad is 10.5"x9", which perfect IMO. Slightly larger would be fine as well.

I just noticed that EVGA has a gaming mouse pad on their site. It measures 13.75"x10.25" and has some metal coated rigid surface.. but I see nothing about it's thickness. A review at newegg says it's not thin, but as thick as your typical mouse pad... whatever that means. Thin is an absolute must for whatever I buy.

I'm also considering this newer style Func pad. But... i'm not too keen on the price.

    Any suggestions?

It's 2.7mm thick. I had that fUnc pad you used, and I consider it a great pad. For some time I used only hard pads
because of it until I changed to cloth one much gentler on mouse skates and my wrist. If not now it is too small for me
by far as I started playing on 550dpi. But if that's what you like, try finding the same one on eBay or something.

I've heard of people just getting a small sheet of teflon and using that. I prefer cloth which are pretty much all the same other than size.
