    Question 3930K @ 4.6 temp check

Hardware can be found in signature. CPU has its own loop.

Ambient room temperature with CPU at load/idle: 24C
Water temperature with CPU at idle: 28.6C
Water temperature with CPU at load: 33C

A lot of people leave out ambient so I can't really tell where I stand in terms of temperatures.

    (1) How is my water temps at idle?
    (2) How is my water temps at load?
    (3) How are my core temps at idle (min. temp column in CoreTemp)?
    (4) How are my core temps at load?

If you can't make out the numbers right click and select VIEW IMAGE to view the full size image.

    Thanks.

Or temps are not that bad but I think your WC is lacking some eficiency, could you tell us about the amount of rads, their size and fans used ? I would say a 9ºC delta between air and water is not that great.

With what he has, his delta is not bad.

And what's your pump ? Because 9ºC delta is "high" for my standards but maybe in reality is within normal.

That's why I asked what he had.

Hardware is in the signature people.

    (2) Koolance PMP-450S Strong High-flow Pump. I picked up two pumps because my bay res and QDCs are restrictive.

It is slightly better than "normal".

You are doing about the same as my 3930k cooled by a HK 3.0 and 2x 360mm Thermochill PA rads. I run around 4.5 Ghz at 1.35 V at the moment and your temps look might similar to mine but I also have 2 GPUs in the loop.

I think the voltages on your OC are a little on the high side TBH.

Looks to me like you have VTT and VCCSA on auto, and the R4E applies to much V at the auto setting IMHO.

I run 4.8Ghz 24/7 with offset mode on the VCORE. My VTT is set at 1.075 and my VCCSA is at 1.15.

VTT and VCCSA are not on auto. G.SKILL recommends 1.25 for VCCSA in the set up guide posted on their website for my board. I had a ton of issues hitting 2400 with my memory so I just left VCCSA alone after initially modifying it and never went back to see if I could lower it. Perhaps I will.

I have to run 1.4v+ VCORE to get my system stable at 4.8. So I decided to settle for 4.6. When I say stable I mean all Prime95 27.7v tests run 12-24 hours and 50 passes of LinX at max memory with the latest LINPACK library.
