    Asus ROG Tytan gaming PC

Interesting, but probably not for the folks here

Although many enthusiasts prefer the satisfaction of building their own PC, there's still a solid market for pre-fabbed gaming machines. Asus and a handful of other companies seem to understand this. However, Asus thinks they have an irresistible feature that sets their beastly PC apart from the competition: it transforms itself into a halfway-open, innards-rearing, overdriven gaming rig at the push of a button.

I've never met a PC gamer that didn't know how to build their own PC. Price is one of the biggest reasons people just buy consoles so I don't see how this way overpriced PC is gonna sell.

Yeah, PC gamers either buy high end desktop from big name companies or know at least how to build one themselves.
This PC is ridiculously big, I think it gives the wrong idea to console gamers about PC gaming.

What needs to be built is something on a micro-atx platform in the smallest case possible. Heck, it is possible to build a Mini-ITX gaming machine even...

Haha, and at the end of the clip the guy had to lift up the wobbly front hatch himself... Truly ridiculous.

Exactly. If they are equipping it with a gtx 690, just go ITX. Silverstone offers itx rigs w/ pretty big PSUs. The 1155 Asus ITX board + 3770K w/ good cooling and 8gb is way more than enough for most people, even on here!

Besides the price of the gtx 690 itself, there's not really a reason to drop $3000 on a gaming PC.

    Roughly:
    Case & PSU: $200
    Mobo: $200
Cpu: $300 (unless you don't get HT, which gamers don't need)
    256gb SSD: $200
    8gb ddr3 1600: $50

So you're at $1000 basically. You need a GPU / Windows liscence / cooling solution. This whole rig can be done for $1750 if you use a GTX 680 ($2250 w/ a GTX 690).
BP ruined my dinner and my region. (yep, I'm still pissed!)

    Current Rig: i7 2600K @ 5ghz, GTX 690 WC'd , MIVE, 840 pro 256gb / Corsair Force 3 GT 240gb SSD

Lol, wow a tower with a lousy front that almost fell apart when closing

Never seen that level of fail in "design" and hardware - 99% of the gamers they speak about can't even effort a system half as expensive...
    I don't see a market at all for such a...uhmm..."thing" (?!)

    this

Problem here in Europe: You won't get any electro magnetic field tests passing with some high end hardware in such case...
maybe not an issue for private people but e.g. at distribution level you are not even allowed to sell such complete systems because of several regulations not beeing fullfilled.

i have a custom case im finishing up now thats the same size as the silverstone st03 (the trash-can looking case), but houses a 120x3 radiator and if needed a 120x2, while still supporting 12.5" long gpus, hot swap raid array, and sits both tall or flat
