Thaiphoon Burner DDR3 SPD Flashing Tool Problems

    Hi Folks,

    I'm having issues!!!

I recently purchased Thaiphoon Burner 7.5 to work with my Z77 board only to have it deactivate itself 2 days later after I activated my fresh install of W7 Ult x64. Thaiphoon were quick enough to give me a second activation however before I could install it my registration code changed again meaning it wouldnt & dont work.

I have emailed Thaiphoon twice but they now ignore me!!!!

Has anyone else had this problem with Thaiphoon Burner?

    ####

I can still play with SPD's using SPD tool & or an older version of Thaiphoone Burner on X58/P67 boards but as I paid for Thaiphoon 7.5 & it dont work I feel hard done.

    That feels bad, when ignored..

Each time clone your drive when your using your tool, that way it will allways stay activated?

I did get a reply in the end they said they were on vacation hence the late reply.....

The way I see it the reply basically said Thaiphoon was activated for your current hardware only meaning any change even RAM may deactivate it!!! I think this is lame as it renders the tool useless for what I want to do with it. This IMO is a fantastic tool yet it’s made unusable to moders/tweakers & people like me that generally bugger about with stuff due to its activation method.

They also said in their opinion the cause of the deactivation was a BIOS problem. I can’t prove this one way or another however as everything else I have that needs activating manages to stay active despite my constant hardware changes & BIOS updates I don’t wear this Teflon shouldered reply....

I don’t want to defend or object to what the likes of Thaiphoon feel they need to do to protect their development but....... this tool is fantastic & exactly what I want & I would think most people like me want to use for tooling about just a shame I can’t keep it active!

I find it sad this tool & its activation prevents me from using it in an open way & can’t help think Thaiphoon must be missing out selling this tool to people like us due to this very limited activation.

Back to old SPD Tool/Thaiphoon on P67........ How can this benefit Thaiphoon!!!!

    Strange that’s what I have been using W7 Ult x64 SP1 & UD5H.

My registration code has changes several times, once I put it down to activating windows but the other times I had not made any hardware or BIOS changes at all so have no idea what’s going on.

My registration code has been the same for over a month now so maybe whatever was causing my problem has stabilised
