    Project downtime tomorrow

Einstein@Home will be shout down tomorrow (Wednesday Oct 8) morning (CEST) to perform some urgently necessary database work. We expect this to take a couple of hours.

After project 'maintenance' today I had the usual scheduler URL updating fiasco, resulting in 50% of my hosts running dry. Always happens when I'm not about to do it manually FFS get it sorted Berkley

Thanks for the Post Sam, My rigs were found crunching away at their 3 days Einstein WUs cache with a 3-4 hours communication deferred message in the Status of the Einstein Project. Did a manual update and downloaded a whole bunch of new Einstein WUs.

Thanks again for the headfs up Sam

They have changed the URL on server, so the BOINC client needs to fetch the new one. This is done automatically by BOINC after ~10 failed accesses. You can speed it up by pressing the Update project a few times in case your results didn't upload/report.

Hopefully just an accounting blip after the outage & normal service will soon be resumed
....having said that I've migrated some cards back to GPUgrid so totals will be a little lower from now on

Looks like we need to get back some of our inactive members to pick up the slack and keep us on top of the heap.

We will likely all reduce our Einstein production due to the forthcoming XS WCG SC week in mid-November.
