Is it sure that this will be the top tier z77 ROG board?

I can't believe MVF will be the top model.
-It only has 4sata ports with raid and the other 4 are on an ASMedia without even raid 0 possibility.
-The moment you put a 2nd GPU or something simple like raid controller in slot2 or 3, slot 1gets downgraded to x8. With 3cards you even fall as low as 8/4/4. I don't understand why they wouldn't add a pcie switch to their top tier model.
-No Thunderbolt version. I think 99% of people would prefer a TB version over "thunderfx".

There's no way Asus will be able to ask €350 or even €300 for this.
ROG boards were always the boards that I could buy blindly because they would have everything and I wouldn't have to compromise. Now I even had to start looking at other manufacturers while I would love to give Asus €300-€500 for a board.

There will be an extreme version too, but from what I've seen it's scheduled for release even later than the MVF

Thanks for the info. Found their preview site.
Added a PLX and a TB port at the back.
Only downside is still that ASM1061. Should be a Marvell 88SE9230.
Also looks like the SupremeFX IV fell off before someone was able to take a picture...
