Flame red spray paint. spray in a little cup and a very pointy brush and then just let the paint fill the groves and then i let it dry overnight and then i lapped the top with 1200 gritt lapping sandpaper and lots of water

Nice Riska, red and black really go nice together. Maybe the reason why we have so much Rossoneri themed cases in LC worklogs.
I might photoshop your image to see how orange and black go together

Here is a little quick test with the sniper block installed on my MSI GD65 Z77 mobo and my 3770K cpu

My loop is 2xXSPC RX360 radis in a loop with a Laing DDC 10W pump with a XSPC res/top on it and masterclear 11.1mm tubing and 6 Zalman ZMF3 fans on 5 volts..

I dont now whats wrong with the temp programs because they all read core 0 at 10 c lower than it is!

Cpuz is saying that the cpu gets 1.520v but it is getting 1.530 measured with a DM on the mobo.

I'm considering getting one of these blocks,
after looking at the bottom from the picture you posted of it.
    should it be lapped?

    Edit:
well it isn't a polished as i have made lapped, however if it is bowed then lapping could mess it up.

You could lap it but take the copper alone because the bow is in the jetplate that bows the copper when you screw it toghter

what are the best cpu blocks right now? I'm currently on a 3 yo apogee v2 on 3770k.
gimme a link with the last block roundup. send one the last reviewer and see how it does against the rest. take the top 5 best blocks and do a roundup with this block.
I just want to see how it compares.
oh and DetroitAC i must say you are a master of your instruments.

nice stren! I cant wait to see how this all pans out. You got some heavy hitters in that roundup. Im going to assume our guy has some of those blocks he used as a baseline. its funny one thing ive noticed is these block roundups barely have a huge difference. 1-2c etc. for me it comes down to some decent mounting hardware. My swiftech harware is crap. its all stripped/ I am using rods and bolts I use for ln2 blocks. I dont even have springs on currently. I jsut open the bios and go to pc health status and screw each one while the computer is on and try to get the lowest temp. I wish there was a back plate that had the rods welded in so they cant move and you just have the springs and some thumb screw on top. just simple. something that is not tiny that you strip it the 1st day. something that has just the right gauge and wont strip easily. I keep ending up tossing the hardware and using my own. there needs to be some better mounting method. stren you should also note in the review what block had the best mounting hardware.

Wasp is the name of the rig I'm actually working on. Judging by the final result, I strongly recommend to get a custom block. Once we worked out the engraving, DT crafted the block very fast, it only took one day. Shipping was pretty fast too.
Now I'm waiting for the tubing and some other stuff to start building the rig.

Check DT's website for more info: http://www.dtwaterblocks.com/

Sorry these tests are taking a while. I had to restart after instability meant I had to change the operating point for the testing.

Amd socket specifics hurt looks of blocks imho. It's same for all LC vendors though.
