Swiftech GPU heatsinks for 7000 series?
Swiftech, are you developing a heatsink for use with a 7850/7870 and the MCW60? Or maybe the 7950/7970 (except those cards are out of my price range)?
I was contemplating upgrading my aging 4870 512MB with a 6950 2GB card and using the Swiftech heatsink in conjunction with my trusty MCW60 water block. Heck of a lot cheaper than getting a new full cover block. But sadly the HD6900-HS is no longer in production, although most of the compatible cards aren't in production anymore anyway. So I looked at the 6970 as that sink was available, but the cards either weren't or were above my price range (Really only looking to spend $250-ish on a video card upgrade really).
Well buying a previous gen card might not be such a good idea anyway.
So I looked at the 7000 series. A 7850 is about the same price as a 6950 but it uses less power and generally performs the same, but is potentially overclockable to a higher speed. Should fit the bill perfectly. BUT I can't find even a full cover block for it! Same story with the 7870. What the heck. Does no one make watercooling gear for anything but the absolute highest end card anymore? Or am I just looking too early yet for watercooling gear for this stuff?
