I'm sorry to appear to be spamming, but, the FPS community is really really needs a TRUE Tactical Shooter.


All these new so-called Tactical Shooter with Cover-System is ruining the experience.

ArMa is too hardcore for some.
Ghost Recon is too old for some.
Rainbow Six (RSE) is also too old for some.

INF needs a graphic update.

This is where Ground Branch fills the void.

John tried the Publishing world, but, those companies do not talk Tactical...its all about the sell.

I'm trying to raise a rally here, to help John, and his vision come true. He's been up with this since 2004 by himself and maybe a crew of 4.

I sit at home playing GR & Heroes Unleashed Mod....since 2001, I've been looking for a game that combines, GR and R6.

MOH SP was the last game that i rode like rollercoaster, mainly due to the books that supports the storylines.
Game wise, it doesn't reflect the Tactical Gaming that GR & R6 provided.

Since 2001, no FPS game has ever got closed.

Now that there is an alternative studio with a track record/history/true background from both games, its not a hard decision to back this studio up.

And the studio is already built....past tense. No need to do a fund raising on that issue.
As a matter of fact, there is a pre-alpha as seen on the video.

If you look at yourself in the mirror and call yourself a Tactical Gamer or tell your co-workers or friends you are, then THIS game is YOU.

This IS you.

This game was built around YOU.
This game was not designed and built at some foreign country where you come log-on the internet so you can come to THEM.


It was built, for you to use your mind and not hop on a Roller Coaster.
Atari made a game called Roller Coaster Tycoon... if that is how you like your game.

It was designed because you game using TACTICS. STRATEGY. LOGISTICS.

This game was built (past tense) by a developer who help designed the two games you LOOOOOVE.

He spent HIS OWN MONEY in a very tight economy so you have an alternative to FPS roller coaster gaming.

Now he is asking YOU to HELP, release this game.
Now he is asking YOU to SUPPORT and spread the word out, that TACTICAL GAMING is BACK in the FPS genre

Again, that target is ACTUALLY on the low end. This is an indie company.
There MANY softwares and manpower that will benefit from this target.
If the word gets out, let's say, you know someone from nVidia, who will contribute for exclusive rights, then it may decrease.

We have heard the message loud and clear and are happy to announce that we are going to offer ALL of our Kickstarter backers that pledged from the minimum $15 reward up, the Singleplayer/Co-Op portion (with advanced AI) of GROUND BRANCH for FREE .
Every copy of the game gets this; So for example, if you get a FIRETEAM EDITION then all 4 copies will be eligible for the additional release.

This will be available some time after the initial release that will include full multiplayer (objective-based TvT, PvP) and core single player/co-operation gameplay (e.g. terrorist hunt against bots) from the start.

so, unfortunate that the KS did not reach enough Tactical FPS players.
everyday, ever since the conclusion of the KS, new members are posting that they heard this news too late and it wasn't marketed properly/wisely.... don't blame the two guys trying to give our dream game. There's only so much two ppl can do, specially when marketing is not their specialty.

Anyway, they need help with some survey that may help market this properly.

Combine leaning blends with the existing crouch/stand blends and you get your RavenShield style fluid stance. (click for video)
Head tracking – via TrackIR or Kinect (or Oculus Rift ) – adds another way for people to precisely control their stance.
Using this analogue approach is handy, but not all that natural or quick. In reality, it is easy for a person to quickly match their head and body position to peek around – and over – what ever obstacle they choose, with out exposing too much. To help with that, we are using checks based on a players surroundings, weapon position and underlying stance.
For example, to peek around a corner, press E with your weapon down – you’ll lean just enough to expose your right eye and get a good field of view.
To lean and shoot, press E and bring your weapon up – you’ll lean a bit further out then before to accommodate your weapon and let you take the shot.
In addition to the programming changes, related animations are also being reviewed and updated as need be. We’re trying to avoid awkwardly bending the character at the waist and go for a more full body oriented lean from the legs up.
Being a feature that will be utilised often, we feel it is well worth the effort.
