Pi Series DDR3 on Sandy Bridge?

I have a kit of G.Skill Pi Series rated at DDR3-2133 7-10-7-27 but I'm having huge problems with it on Sandy Bridge. It seems I need well over 1.7v to run stock speeds.
On AMD Bulldozer, they are fine. I haven't been able to try P55 unfortunately.

They don't run the XMP profile, is there something I'm missing here?

I also have RipjawsX, rated at DDR3-1600 6-8-6-24, and they are bad on AMD but seem as good as my Pi on SB.

The memory chips are not designed for that motherboard, so you may have difficulties reaching the rated specifications. They should work just fine for P55; for SB, a BIOS/EFI update may be necessary.
