Talking EVGA GEFORCE GTX 690 Extreme | Fastest single-card in the world :)

Got my hands on GTX 690, so decided to try this masterpiece under subzero cooling.

I did not bother testing it on aircooling, just checked memory OC (cards were ok to go 3.6-3.7GHz no problems) and started LN2 magic.

First one card action with next system

    INTEL I7 3960X @ AIR 4500MHZ
    EVGA E779 X79 CLASSIFIED
    EVGA GEFORCE GTX 690
    TWO KINGPINCOOLING.COM TEK9 GEMINI
    EVGA NEX CLASSIFIED 1500W PSU

What to run on GTX 690? Of course 3Dmark11 P
I had some basic experience with overclocking kepler GTX 680, so applied some magic two times to GTX 690 and cooled bad boy to -50°C.

Voltage for both GPUs was set to 1.45V, was enough to run benchmark with 1500-1550MHz over and over flawlessly.

GTX690 reference design is tuned good, no issues with voltages, memory OC, no problems even pushed. I enjoyed playing with card.

    Result with one card:

So far ok, so I proceed to STEP TWO: have twin cards on LN2 together and overclock CPU to hell.

Let's see what will happen next days

    Stay tuned

Pretest #2, TWIN EVGA GEFORCE GTX 690, cooled by QUAD KPC TEK9 GEMINI's.

Same system except second LN2 card, CPU still on air, overclocked to 4.9GHz.

1450MHz in Quad-SLI. Can do more, so will push more together with LN2 CPU next time.

That is truly a sight to behold right there. Can't wait to see the CPU on LN2 as well. I like what you did with the backplate to hold the fans onto the CPU cooler...

Sorry for noob interference but......how do you volt mod a GTX690? I thought they were locked down to the 1.175v max.

I'm genuinely thinking of a 690 but am put off (a little bit) by the supposed lock down

    Cheers.
