    mcp35x pwm pump

I see the mcp35x pump has pwm capability. Just wondering if the fan head on a 6950 is the same pin out as a CPU fan header. Can I plug the pumps pwm wire into the video card header? Will the video card control the pump speed? Note the pump does not draw power through the pwm wire it has a seperate power connector. Anybody have one of these pumps hooked up to the video card fan header instead of the CPU fan header?

No. You can't hook it up to a videocard. It is a different connection.

What if I use these http://www.quietpc.com/products/vgac...-pwm-vga-cable does the fan header on the video card actually use pwm protocol?

Yes some VGA fan do use PWM to control fan speeds. You just need a way to physicaly connect the pwn wire from your pump to the pwm connector on the VGA. For that purpose you could use that adpater you just posted or salvge the same connection from any random VGA cooler you have laying around
