why tell us about the prize 1 day before comp ends :P.
awesome prize tho goodluck peeps
i know i know :P. just didnt try a 5ghz run when i was LN2 on mem. Totally my bad tho!
It always surprises me that vendors give prizes out only if you're using their equipment. If the board is good, the winner will start using it regardless of what they were using before. Why artificially limit your market to your current pool and prevent yourself from possibly scoring a new customer in the future?
Gigabyte offered a prize on the last day, I could have said "no, too late" but I acepted the offer.
C-N, appears to be the top Gigabyte board (non Gigabyte employee) ?
Intel 9990XE @ 5.1Ghz
ASUS Rampage VI Extreme Omega
GTX 2080 ti Galax Hall of Fame
64GB Galax Hall of Fame
Intel Optane
Platimax 1245W
Intel 3175X
Asus Dominus Extreme
GRX 1080ti Galax Hall of Fame
96GB Patriot Steel
Intel Optane 900P RAID
C-N is in the lead using a Gigabyte mobo, without being staff, yes.
A very very impressive time indeed! (Im stuck at 19.8'ish sec at the moment)
However, when this being announced so very late, do you think its fair to make it vendor specific? I mean, it should have been in the rule from the very beginning, I think angoholic deserves to win, no disrespect to C-N, but angoholic is the no#1 in the contest, who does not work for any vendor.
Once again; Really impressive result by C-N!

pro - 6:16:562 - 50x100 - 2800MHz - 7-11-7-27 - ASUS M5F - GSkill 2x2GB PSC - 2.025v - cpu air/psc -100
this os doesnt support memtweakit, but trfc 78, twr 10, tfaw 16, thirds 1-1-1-1-4-4-1-4-4
the key is the IMC, the difference between 1350 and 1420 7-11-7 is all IMC strength.. my bonus loops are a little weak, but you can see the extra bandwidth pulls back some time..

heres another similar run but at the next bump down

i think it's just a heatsink he's using
absolutely sick combo pro
well done!
anyway i did not try 1400 7-11-x-x with xhd because i was limited to 1,92v with the gene

@ M.Beier, I don’t agree or disagree with anything you said & don’t take any offence at all... in fact thanks for the praise I would add I have noticed a lot of brand competition on this board recently coupled with what I believe to be Fugger using his influence with vendors to run/promote comps etc & offer prizes. I for one am very happy to see vendors running comps giving prizes & Fugger doing what he does as imho its all good & although I may or may not agree with vendors wishes regarding what/who the prize are offered to that’s there right & I respect that.
Today will be a good day to watch the 32M backup top trumps
Great numbers Youngpro & Dinos
I don’t have any backups what I have posted is the best I can do with relative ease i.e. board in case normal cooling etc.

Good!
But - I will take offence from angoholic making my results look so bad, haha
Jokes aside, I agree, very good 'contest', but mostly, eventhough MovieMan earlier posted it being 'off track', I think there has been a really good dialog in this thread, about effeciency, and how to improve performance of the 2D benchmark.
I think people who want to start benching, will get alot of golden advice, from reading this thread - and that - that is what xtremesystems.org has been all about since I joined in 2005, helping eachother improving.
