Ha ha kept me amused Sergio

It would probably have helped if I left the insulation on the sides of the evap to channel the cold into the sticks rather than the air.

    P.S I didn't see your post 1st time round.....

Hey ToyTen nice to see you my friend. You need to work on that score buddy, i can easily beat that with 100MHz on the CPU to spare, lol!

I have a 3770K arriving tomorrow or Thursday and just some nice BBSE to play with... Might be able to dice the mem, but no time for LN2.

I finally got a better cpu, but the next day I killed my board

Trying to decide which board to order, or maybe just hold off. Even on SS Ivy is very limited, other than this 5ghz challenge there isnt much else to do without buying a dewar and ln2.

Hey Honda maybe you should prolong this challenge by a couple of weeks?

If I ever make it up your way Ill take you up on that.

I had removed the retention bracket, and the IHS on my first chip. The thermal paste causes the chip to stick to the evap head, you have to be very careful when removing it, or remounting it so it doesnt fall off and hit the socket, or if you move the evap head slightly while mounting it, the chip can move partially out of the socket, and when you tighten it down your pins become fubar, like mine

I had also removed the IHS also on my 3570K to put some liquid Ultra in there & found it annoying to get the IHS back in the correct place whilst levering up the retention bracket. Yesterday I stuck it back on with Tiger Seal http://www.u-pol.com/product-cat/162...nd-sealant.htm

Good work Dumo, was going cold on the CPU the key to getting the BBSE to run 2600?
