L0ud i meant Vdimm. If my BBSEs aren't stable at Vdimm over 1.84 on air, LN2 could increase possible Vdimm

Why not? Maybe ICs or PCB cannot handle higher vdimm on air, on cold this could be different - remember that most PSC for example do not scale above 1,9-1,95v on air and easily do 2,15v on cold

Thanks but not scale it's little bit different. My system do reboot if I set more than 1.84V Vdimm.

So Ive been really wanting to get my memory's colder because @-105 just not enough,I know they have so much more to give if I could get them colder(or did have )Any how i decided to take of the heatsinks of on my two best dims out of a 6x2gb kit(2000 cl6 pi) to get them colder, well this is the first time Ive done this , I didn't use a hair dryer that I now know I should have. The good news is I still have few more G skill Pis.
I guess I need another hug Splave
    Bull

    Few more kits

Having these ready to have a look, which XPSC series ICs were used on the dead PIS?

@major - obviously cold enhances voltage tolerance on BBSE and PSC... so what on air doesn?t boot at 1,84 might work at -150? on cold at 2V. As long as it is no imc problem you might well give it a try

I know how you feel, not that long ago I also had a 2000C6 stick killed in a similar manner ... now I'm too scared to pull the HS off PIS

Yeah I don't think I will try to do this again,as you know how hard it is to find good pi now. They were from a 3x2Gb kit,i had 2 kits so 6x2gb and those 2 where from the better triple kit.we live and learn
Have you tried 2000mhz cl6 PID Sam?

L0ud, glad to see the avantiums did not disappoint

Sorry to hear about your PID sticks, bullant.

I'll make an update next week, too busy over the weekend.

Ohh crap bull that is not good

You should have seen how hard the 2300 c'8 heat spreaders were, I am talking I hit them with the heat gun til they were so hot you could barely touch them and they still were a to get off, GSkill must be mixing some epoxy in there for good measure:p

The good thing is you have multiple other dimms, and if you do remove the heat spreader be sure to use a heat gun and get them zorched before trying.

The set of 2200 RipX did not like over 1.9v on air and they clocked much higher clock wise than the Avantiums, which loved voltage. Do your dimms run warm? I would say try them anyways

avantium strikes again, these sticks fail 2400 8-10-7-22-78 1.92v

    Splave - 6:16:266 - 46x108 - 1304MHz - 7-9-6-18-64-1 - ASROCK OC Formula - Avantium 2133c9 2x2gb/BBSE - 2.1v - CPU SS @ -50c Mem LN2 @ -150c

Had to cut it short, try it again soon should get there on a lucky run and trfc 60 IMO

    Splave awesome result!
P.S. I've never heard about this brand of memory - Avantium. Maybe they used super-puper handpiked LN2 chips Allen edition

    Awesome!!

As Aristidis did his BBSE result with 7-9-6-18 i thought this could be the best combo if you have sticks that could do the job. If you have 4 of them and an IMC that can handle it (tightened timings with BBSE x4 push the imc a lot more than PSC) you could "easily" do the magic 15.

I've heard of Avantium for the first time in 2008, but I only know about four of their sticks (combined to either dual or triple kits). All of them were part of their Leopard Series:
    1GB/2GB Samsung HCF0 rated 2000 9-9-9-24 @ 1.9V (1st rev) / 1.65V (2nd rev)
2GB Elpida Hyper rated 1866 7-8-7-20 @ 1.65V (not entirely sure about specs)
    2GB Elpida BBSE rated 2000 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65V (AED34G2000HC9TC)
    2GB Elpida BBSE rated 2133 9-9-9-24 @ 1.65V (AED34G2133HC9DC)

Splave, were did you find those sticks? Did they come with a heatspreader or just naked sticks?
