if you have a high-compression engine you can run high-proof alcohol you distill yourself for less than gasoline (will require a BATF permit and minor modifications to most vehicles to run properly, though).

    +1 SC lol

Must admit, I was in local Software retailers the other day and singular pieces of the Microsoft Office Suite were $180AUD each.

Surely MS don't need to price their gear that high in order to make massive profits?

Can see why people would choose to torrent such things.

I'm actually planning on converting to diesel and producing my own biodiesel. Should be $1.50 a gallon so so.

That's how caterpillar's engines work, their compression ratio is very high so that any hydrocarbon based fuel will ignite. geez they'll even work off gasified wood-chips.

Why annoy people about piracy when they just bought the damn product.
Besides that most movies suck and arent worth the money so they should be happy that anyone is willing to see their crap.
Damn ive seen the last Transformers movie for free and i stil want my money back.

Ya piracy hurts a bit but piracy wont kill the profit of a movie. If a studio loses money on a movie it is probaly because the movie sucked ass and they pumped to much money into it.
Just increase the quality of your movies, stop milking every damn franchise, stop overpaying crappy actors and kill Micheal Bay.

And you get this then Forbes - HBO's 'Game Of Thrones' On Track To Be Crowned Most Pirated Show Of 2012

While “Game of Thrones”‘ filesharing rates are probably driven in part by its appeal to the young, geeky male demographic that’s most prone to using torrent sites, HBO hasn’t helped the problem by making the show tough to watch online for the young and cable-less. The show isn’t available through Hulu or Netflix, iTunes offers only Season 1, and using HBO’s own streaming site HBO Go requires a cable subscription. (The situation was captured in the widely read comic strip The Oatmeal, in which the author attempts the rage-inducing process of trying to watch “Game of Thrones” online before giving up and downloading it from a sleazy porn-ad covered torrent site.)

We might as well blame HDD manufacturers for building 4TB drives since that'll allow use to keep more content without having a massive array of drives.

As for the 635TB car torrent.... what's the cheapest raid array I can build to get it?!

thats quite funny cause i dont know many people who torrent AND use external drives. usually people who do use an external drive are trying to backup their pc cause they know nothing about how an OS or file system works.

and compared to the price of the drive itself, it makes no difference as a deterrent, its just to give money to the big corps so they stay happy

What's with the Hitler mustache? Should have just bought Boardwalk Empire on Amazon! Funny, have to check out this show now.......but yah i'm one of those who at least tries to kick back a bit of cash. Netflix isn't really necessary but keeping track of movies, suggestions, ratings plus giving a bit of cash to the studios makes you feel better. Sometimes sadly you can't get what you want..

Hey SC, I'm feeding my Steed gallons of Filtered Oil that's used in restaurants for cooking. Beat That ... 2.7 Gallons is about 2 Bucks for me. Boy I do love ancient engines that run on anything that can't outrun them as it's sucked in and burned efficiently.

Really, do you think that placing those annoying anti piracy warnings is actually going to stop pirates from ripping movies and upload them onto the net? Don't think so, and its going to annoy the customer anyway. Hate those unskippable ads.

If a certain show is so difficult to download or purchase through legitimate stores then how/why did the original seeder get it?
They looked at it and made a business decision. I will get it, seed it and generate traffic to my website which I make money off. They are middle-men profiting off others work.

Inevitably, somebody will stretch my comment to say that ISP's are also benefiting from data charges from illegally downloaded content. True, but not the point because it's not their business model (MU).

No. Many uploaders just want to share whatever they have on their HDDs.
    No money involved.

I guess that's debatable. Here we got 120Mb/s download and soon 500Mb/s. Not much point for those kinds of speeds if you're just browsing, gaming, or reading emails.
