I like your work man...when did you make new tec blocks?
混沌とした アンモラル
6 lbs of copper?!?!?!
Why yes, yes I do use Koolance..*Flame Wall Inbound*
I see plexi soooo...not 100% copper.
Circles SucQ!
If your annoyed by sigs telling you to put things in your sig, then put this in your sig
Bribery won't work on me...just say NO to AT!!!
heh, true. It was designed to be 100% copper, but in the end I didn't wanna hide the internals. So plexi it became :P
Yes, it is a hulk of copper. A bit excessive, but it was designed as a show piece.
And a little bit of rubber too if that counts against the 100% :P
Here is the build log if anyone missed it:

Just some machining shots from the second block. The outer shell is just rough bandsaw cut.
Here is a 1/2-13 bolt sitting on the GPU area after the initial rough machining of the back:
Block #2

After O-ring machining:
Blocks 2, 3, & 4 in various stages of completion
Great work but that thing would need vertical stabilizing rails off HDD racks/bottom of the case imo.
Putting that much weight on a PCI-E slot (even with two securing screws on the PCI areas) is a bit much.
Any performance data?

The motherboard will be stiffened by a dense foam used under it.
I got a 20°C or so reduction in load temps from the stock fan with Arctic silver alumina, a single triple rad, and 3 generic coolermaster quiet fans. Click on the original link for more info on the testing. The setup was pretty sub par, but that always leaves room for improvements.
I Love it It's nice to see a copper work of art. I'm so sick of all the nickle plated blocks.
