    We lost a great man yesterday: Carroll Shelby passed at age 89

    One of those people I always wanted to meet.
    I remember my father taking me to Al Grillo Ford in Lynn,Mass in 1966 when I was 14 and there in the showroom was a Blue and white Shelby GT350 Mustang and beside it
    was a solid red 427 AC Cobra..
    I fell in love with that car and the love affair still continues.

    I was deeply saddened to learn of Carroll's passing. He was truly a no BS type of guy who built things with his own hands and made them work, and work well. A true pioneer.
