Since I dropped some $ on a 2600k rig I have a nearly complete Q6600 rig to sell. q6600 + Abit IP35 + ram + green pcie vid card. If there is some interest I will dig up the ram & gpu specs.

No overclocking on this one. And the Asus P8H77-I has very limited options to change things.
The only real downside is that I can't lower the voltage. I can go up 3 steps, but not down.
This board will end up in one of the pc's that I build for family and get a z77 itx for my HTPC.

You should be able to override the speed-boost and get 3.9 on all 8 threads... just thought I'd mention that.

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

So you can do Furmark, Can you Grid???

I have been looking around in the BIOS, but don't see anything that looks like an option to change that.

    How would I override this?

Throttlestop? No idea, but it might work.

I tried Throttlestop, but couldn't get it to change anything. All it did was drop the CPU to 800 MHz.

It scared the heck out of me

Had to restart to get it back to 3.7 GHz. 3rd time I had it restarted already. That is enough for this month.

    Manual here

AI Tweaker > CPU Power Management

    CPU ratio

Also make sure you change these to prevent the Mobo from throttling it due to lack of power. (Mobo by default only supplies 95W limit)

    Enable Speed Step
    Enable Turbo Mode
    Long Duration Power Limit (255)
    Long Duration Maintained (32)
    Short Duration Power Limit (Auto)
Primary Plane Current Limit (Max it... max value not given)
Secondary Plane Current Limit (Also Max)

I can't get it to go higher than 3.7 GHz when all cores are loaded.
Looks like it is a problem with the "CPU ratio" setting in the BIOS. That only gives me "auto" and 16-34.

I didn't max these out. Went up to 850 and was still not at max. But 850 A should do it.

No problem. Thanks for trying. I'm sure I can use this info on future builds.

Yeah, it is doing nicely now. It is still getting up to speed, but it looks like it will be doing close to 40k PPD.
