Dedicated team members are donating hardware to their fellow crunchers to thank those who contribute to the XS SuperComputer Week, to encourage new members to remain active, and to make the best use of the hardware for the team and for the cause.

    Here's how we do it:

    Duration: 5/1/12 - 5/9/12.

To play: You must turn in some results for the XS WCG team during the SuperComputer Week to receive hardware (your name must appear on the Free-DC XS team stats page, and you must turn in some results/earn some points during the SC Week)(the actual amount of points is not important, only that it is greater than zero).

To donate something: PM me with your item(s) to donate, or post it in this thread, by 5/6/12. I will build the hardware list in this post. Please let me know if you have any shipping constraints.

To receive something: PM me with the name & number of the item(s) you want, or post it in this thread, by 5/7/12. If there are multiple items under your requested name/number, please specify which one(s) or how many you want. You can request as many items as you want. Be specific please.

Shipping: Hardware recipients pay shipping. Hardware donors may pay shipping if they choose, but as a general rule, recipients pay shipping costs.

Limits: One big-ticket item per recipient (current generation hardware or something of significant value). Multiple smaller-ticket items per recipient possible (previous hardware generations or abundant items).

    - Recipients determined by name drawing, to be held on 5/9/12, or shortly thereafter. Expect the recipient list to be posted by 5/10/12, in this post.

    - Hardware recipients are responsible for contacting the donors and coordinating shipping.

    - Please use your new hardware to crunch work-units for the team. XS WCG thanks you.

Questions? PM me with questions or ask ‘em in the thread.

You will notice that itznfb is donating a ton of goodies.
Shipping for all itznfb's donations will come from shoota, so PM him to coordinate your shipping.

See you at the cure and other good stuff! Crunch on!!

i will give away an almost complete sammy rig. as the heatsinks are hard to find that would be worth it alone. this is givin as one item if acceptable, as i dont want to ship it all seperate and most of the parts alone would be not as usefull..

    2x Sossaman CPU - SL8wt
    2x ABBA Heatsinks
    "Broken" Mobo
1gb or 2gb of applicable ram. (unsure of how much i have leftover, will check tonight)

with free shipping inside usa. mobo was broken when trying to cut the pciex slot bigger.. so could possibly fix if not your only 40$ and a psu away from a quad core 2ghz cruncher

OK put me down in drawing for the Sossaman. I've broken and fixed those boards in the past so I'll bet I could get it to work

I have a few bits of hardware to go through but haven't had time to mess with it and find out what works and what doesn't... maybe next go round.

Whoever gets the i7-3770 is going to be one lucky SOB. I'd either use it as is (not overclocking anything) or maybe consider trading/selling at XS or eBay for a 3770K. I'd definitely throw down for a motherboard.
