I'm running it at 5,4 1.55 vcore when I'm benching in 3dm11 and thats on water with max temp of 78c Good chip. Would love to see it on ln2

I was running it at 5,2 before I joind XS crunch team. To keep it about 60c I had to lower it to 5GHz. Stability is the only thing I care about. I'm only using my computer to see movies, so it makes a good crucher.

It will be set to run on lower GHz after sc week. We have lots of power in norway but it's not cheap. Just had to get a good start when I joind the team

nah, never feel that way. Everyone brings what they can whether one small machine or 20 big ones..It is in getting all of them together that we accomplish our goals.
Which reminds me, got to make a call and get a certain friend motivated..

Have to start somewhere. When it comes to helping mankind anything is good, but I really want to climb on the scoreboard. It's great when helping people becomes competition Still mostly competing with my self, but I have a feeling that will change with time

Just think what we could accomplish if we could get even a 1/10th of XS involved.
That is the part that frustrates me..
With few exceptions sticking one daily driver on for a week wouldn't create a hardship but it's so hard to convince people to come and help..

I find it hard to respect a record holding machine (or it's owner) that sits in the corner gathering dust when it could be doing something useful.

When we first started this I had the brainstorm to PM all the XL's on XS..
I found people willing but unable.
They generally have a laptop and a benching rig with LN2 pots on it.
Neither appropriate for this kind of work..

There's more than a few air-cooled rigs with titles, I'm sure. Air and water cooled rigs are the ones I'm referring to. LN2/dry ice cooled hardware ... not so much. I do understand certain practical limitations, though it would be interesting to see a LN2 rig set up to somehow run 24/7.

way-way-way-way pointless. LN2 is for getting the last ~10-20% with 100-200% voltage addition.

Water/air is the last line for 24/7 - once You go over the top of voltage curve (heat/clock) you get to point where 100mhz nets you 10% voltage increase.

Wasn't that long ago that the big-iron machines ran 24/7 immersed in coolant with phase change chillers. It's possible. "Possible" doesn't necessarily mean "practical" or even "vaguely realistic", just "possible".
I don't expect anyone to actually DO it, I'm just saying it would be interesting to see it done.
