Is it possible to install MAC OS X on PC base system?

Is it possible to install MAC OS X on PC base system?

    Can PC hardware handle MAC?

Does MAC X require special hardware?

I think it can to a certain extent but your very limited on what hardware etc you can actually use,

basically it's an intel + ati systems I think but not too sure on mobo chipsets what processor n gfx cards etc work though

You mean one can only legally run OSX if you own a real mac and buy the system software? Running on a "PC" a legally owned OSX disc is illegal?

    use the bsd drivers

aslo the EUL says "mac or apple labeled", not authorized or licensed it says labeled, so if u put an apple logo then u should be good. i think that osx comes with a leopard sticker now with the apple logo (server and client OSX say it)

Apple says its illegal, but I believe there was a court ruling stating otherwise and that it is perfectly legal.

"The amendment to the rules was conclusively made after much discussion among our staff. The primary reasoning behind this is a 1984 Federal Court ruling specifically makes it illegal for a company to force their users to install the OS on specific hardware."

So its actually perfectly legal to talk about and do, of course as long as you actually own leopard.

Apple is currently taking Psystar to court because of the computers they sell with Leopard. And I am willing to bet they will win.

So, I could actually hace MacOSX installed on a separate partition and be able to dual boot it? I only need this so I can use Pwnagetool on my new iPhone 3g.

It would be nice if they come up with a pwnage tool that would work in windows. I am looking for it to unlock my old iphone(I have the 3G now) and give it to my dad. I think they do have a beta that works with older versions of the firmware, I might give that a shot.

yup will work perfectly fine on an amd or mac system... but 10.4.8 Jas release is the most compatible.. thats not leopard.. its tiger.. and personally i prefer it... of course you have to own a developer license or an original mac or a copy of osx to do it.. but it works fine.. infact i think the tubgirl release is the best for amd systems.. its darn neat ..

Short answer, you can install almost any operating system on a PC, as long as it was meant for a computer. What truly differentiates a PC from a Mac is the operating system and software, considering Mac's are not completely different from a PC. Mac's are just based on similar chipsets, some manufactured by companies such as IBM anyway. So unless Mac suddenly revamps the internals of the computer, you will always be able to install a Mac operating system on a PC.

Should run the same as a mac of the same spec, that is if all your hardware is compatible.
