    G.SKILL TridentX 2400MHz modular - great and cheap $99

The new GSkill run at 2400MHz CAS10 12 12 31 1T (vdimm at 1.65v),packaged in dual-channel kits offering 8-16GB and using the latest XMP 1.3 profile for the Ivy Bridge platform.
Now let's take a closer look at the RAM modules themselves.

    modular heatsink design

With the GSKILL Trident X DDR3 kit designed for overclocking we were excited to see how much it could be pushed past it's default settings of 2400MHz
Our first attempt was to try 2600MHz and after the board failed to post I loosened up some timings and they booted up at 2600MHz CL10 13 13 35 2t with 1.65v without a single issue!

This is a solid 200MHz increase over the default speeds and belive guys, its not the end!!
I don't know if is possible to find a fast ,great OCer and cheap DDR3 8GB kit for under $100

If the side of a chip look like this, then it's Samsung 30nm.

I have 2 sets of the TridentX 2400MHz 16GTX. I haven't had time for any overclocking but the 32GB are fully stable with the default timings at 1.55V in the ASUS Z77 Deluxe and a 3570K at 4600MHz.

Haven't really had time to work with the sticks. At rated timings and speed they are pretty much plug n' play though.

    Awesome.

    I can't get stability in my X79 system with 32GB @ 2400mhz.

Loving it. So far not a single issue.

LLC set to high, VCORE Offset +0.070V and memory voltage at 1.55V instead of the spec'd 1.65V. Everything else is at default values.

but IMC of SB-E =/= IMC of Ivy Bridge. Quadchannel 2400 MHz will be very hard, only good CPU (pieces) can this. Ivy Bridge is stronger CPU for memory clocks.

Just saw a kit of these in the flesh, noted they were 0340's
So looks like you might get Samsung or Hynix of you're getting these. I wonder which is better
